UI/UX Designer

Full-time/Part time · Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who can turn requirements into clean, modern web interfaces. You’ll define visual standards, component patterns, and interaction details, then collaborate closely with frontend and backend to ship consistent, production-ready designs.

Responsibilities

  • Create user flows, low/high-fidelity wireframes, and polished UI mockups in Figma.
  • Establish a lightweight design system (tokens, type scale, color, spacing, grid, components).
  • Design reusable components and responsive layouts for desktop and mobile.
  • Specify interaction states (hover, focus, loading, error) and motion where appropriate.
  • Prepare dev-ready specs and assets; ensure smooth handoff and implementation reviews.
  • Collaborate with PM/engineers to balance scope, feasibility, and delivery timelines.
  • Apply accessibility fundamentals (contrast, focus order, semantics, keyboard nav).

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating web UI work and visual craft.
  • Proficiency with Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, styles, prototyping).
  • Good grasp of layout, typography, color, and information hierarchy.
  • Experience designing for responsive web and defining component states.
  • Clear communication and structured handoff to engineers.
  • Ability to iterate quickly based on feedback and constraints.

Nice to Have

  • Basic UX research skills (quick interviews, heuristic reviews, simple usability tests).
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and practical checks.
  • Understanding of frontend realities (React/Next, design-to-code tradeoffs).
  • Iconography/illustration or light motion design a plus.
