Project Manager

Full-time/part time · Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive Project Manager who can turn client needs into clear plans and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results. You’ll scope projects, propose feasible solutions (e.g., frontend approach, backend architecture), and keep delivery on track from kickoff to launch.

Responsibilities

  • Own discovery: gather requirements, clarify goals, constraints, success metrics, and risks.
  • Translate needs into artifacts: briefs, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, basic wireframes/flows.
  • Propose technical directions with the team: frontend stack/structure, backend architecture, API strategy, data model rough-ins.
  • Build realistic plans: scope, estimates, milestones, resourcing, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
  • Run execution: sprint planning, standups, reviews, backlog grooming, change requests, and scope control.
  • Enable smooth collaboration across design, frontend, backend, QA, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality: define acceptance gates, coordinate testing/bug triage, and sign-off for releases.
  • Communicate status clearly: timelines, blockers, decisions, and trade-offs to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain documentation and handoffs for launch, training, and post-launch support.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing web/app projects end-to-end in an agency or product environment.
  • Solid grasp of SDLC and Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), estimation, and risk management.
  • Comfort discussing technical options with engineers (e.g., React/Next basics, REST/GraphQL, simple data models).
  • Experience writing PRDs/stories, defining acceptance criteria, and running client workshops.
  • Hands-on with project tools: Jira/Linear, Notion/Confluence, and basic Gantt/timeline management.
  • Strong communication, expectation setting, and scope/priority negotiation skills.
  • Ownership mindset with attention to detail and a bias for clarity and delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Figma for reviewing designs and providing structured feedback.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD, environments, and launch checklists.
  • Experience with contracts/SOWs, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
  • Exposure to analytics/SEO considerations and performance budgets.
